It was about 9:15 am this morning when i got my first call. If you know me you would know that mornings and I DO NOT Mix well at all. I’m usually good and ready around 12:30 anytime before then my mood would be sorta “IFY”, But this was no ordinary call and she was no ordinary friend so I had to answer.
This phone call is pretty much her story and our testimony to say the least.
For the past few weeks she’s been going through it, But she remains faith filled. This morning she was humiliated & my heart cried out for her. She went on to explaining how she was arrested in front of her babies who was in the house with her when the cops came knocking. She opened the door and was greeted by two cops who with no hesitation began reading her, her rights then placed cuffs on her hands with the quickness! she could not believe this was happening to her cause the moment appeared so dreamlike. While the cops waited for someone to attend to her kids, she said she dropped to knees in prayer. Yup! I said it “lol, homie said she got down to her knees in prayer!! When she said that i could not help but smile, cause i admire the fact the even through her adversities she never forgot the kind of God she serves. OK now lets pause for a quick minute. “Who actually thinks about getting down on their knees in prayer after being handcuffed and humiliated?” Ye, I’ll wait.
The morning that all of this was taking place, she was in such a great mood, listening to gospel playing with her kids you know, a praise and worship type turn up! The kind that would get the Devil so mad that he needed to send the Sheriffs over to interrupt.
On August 30th 2016. I woke up in that exact same mood. Gospel was booming from my room as I was putting on my makeup getting ready for work. That morning was soooooo good, I spoke to God that entire morning until I got to work.
It seemed like a prayer of 20 entirely different conversations lol. So you know the devil was mad that I’m just sitting around glowed up with the holy spirit.
My work day came to end around 2:30 pm and at 2:55 pm things quickly changed. I was involved in a car accident and missing a tree and a light pole by only a few inches was NOT LUCK!
My outlook on life is based on constant reminders as too why I Love God!
I was able to walk away from that accident without a scratch and a testimony.
**I hope you pay attention to the similarity in both stories at the end!
After being handcuffed and taken down to the station, my friend was read her charges to which she responded saying that they were ALL false! So here it is she was handcuffed, falsely accused and humiliated. The Sheriff responded back to her saying that he was aware and that she was going to be release. Now some may say she got lucky, or that she got away, but Victory is God’s own and the Devil will never have the last say! Once you rest assured in the God you serve, you know that there is a way bigger picture so always keep a prayer and praise in your heart.
Life is the mechanism through which God expresses himself. You may experience a series of good and bad experiences, events, or feelings. All things are not good. It would be mockery to say that they are. The death of a child is not good. Cancer is not good, drug addiction is not good, war is not good the list goes on But Roman 8:28 says, “We know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”both His good and our good. As God is glorified, His people benefit. The chemistry of the cross God takes things that, in and of themselves, are bad, and He puts them together for good. Although some things and events are decidedly bad only God is able to work them together for good. He sees the big picture; He has a master plan.
Changing your perspective or outlook on life helps to notice the good effects that come from everything. Hope this will be of much help like it was to me, start by putting this quote where you will see it daily:
“Your living is determined not so much by what life brings to you as by the attitude you bring to life; not so much by what happens to you as by the way your mind looks at what happens.” –Kahlil Gibran
Now go out there and “Trust your source, walk in light & always maintain balance!”
