Faith Without Works Is Dead

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. – Jeremiah 29:11

They say if you wanna make God laugh, look up and tell him your plans!
With just a little over two months left before 2016 comes to an end, I find myself already plotting, planning and setting goals for my 2017. In a nutshell, this year has been nothing but a learning experience for me. Everything that I have experienced has pushed me towards growth and out of my comfort zone. Nothing extraordinary manifests from staying in your comfort zone, for if I had remained in mine then something as great as this blog may not have happened. At least not the way that it did.
To this point, 2016 has allotted me events and experiences that have caused me to stop, think and reconsider the route that I’ve been taking or planning to take. For every failed plan, God has opened up and shown me a better way.

I have grown closer to God more than in any other chapter of my life. I have given him the full recognition for all the things that he has done and will continue to do in my life. I have a greater faith in things unseen because of the times I know that I could not have done it alone and without him it would not have been possible. Like, how can people not believe that there is a God?!

I’ve grown to replace my “Lord why me’s” with “Thank you’s”. For every situation, whether good or bad has been a lesson in itself. Hindsight is surely 20/20. My God has shown up and shown out in times when I have felt weak in both the flesh and in the spirit. I have great faith that the next two months of this year will help to prepare and gear me towards my created purpose in this season of acceleration. I know all that I have to do and I am aware that I cannot do it alone. Therefore, I surrender my own plans to him and will remain patient as I know that what is for me will never miss me.

Pray for what you want to achieve, write it down and go out and work towards it. Setting yearly goals may be a bit overwhelming, so strive to set monthly goals at the beginning of every new month then go out, work and achieve those goals.

I’ve already started setting my goals for 2017, have you?
